This 100% Tannat with a marked influence from the Atlantic is made with grapes from the plots CERRO 1, 2, 4 and 5, planted in one of the highest sectors of the vineyard (120 meters above sea level), on an extreme soil of syenites and metamorphic rocks overlooking the shore of Maldonado.

Soil nutrition is naturally poor, forcing plants to dig deep into their roots in search of food and water, getting in contact with a great diversity of rocks and their minerals in different degrees of decomposition. Besides, these vines receive a constant breeze from the ocean -located just two kilometres away- all of which generates significant stress and consequently a low production of in terms of kilos.

Very precise and meticulous viticultural work is carried out to conduct adequate maturation. As a result, we obtain a highly expressive grape that is later reflected in a high-end tannat with an Atlantic character.

The elaboration is carried out with a low intervention protocol. Half of the wine is aged in American oak barrels, obtaining a wine that is very respectful of the variety, with very concentrated flavors of black fruits and spices and pronounced acidity that needs at least five years in the bottle to reach its optimal evolution point.
